Welcome to our 6th annual Christmas Tree Pull List!
After 2 years of being cautious, this year’s tree pull list looks like it’s just about back to normal!
Just an FYI that this list isn’t complete yet but since many of the hauls are taking place right after Thanksgiving, I wanted to get this up a few weeks before the events so that you have time to plan.
If you want to check out last year’s list, you can view that HERE.
If you’re looking for a festive way to kick off the holiday season you might want to check out your local Christmas tree farm and see what type of fun events kick off at the end of November.
There’s a handful of Christmas tree farms across the country that will proudly be hosting events that include dogs, specifically Newfoundlands, who have volunteered their time to help haul your Christmas tree!
This is a great chance for you to get out and support your fellow Newfies, and if you’ve been looking to get a Newfoundland, this is a great way to see the breed in action and talk to many educated people who can help answer any questions that you might have.
And if you’re new here, Newfies are working dogs that are best known for their tremendous lifesaving skills in the water and on land.
Newfies use their sound structure and strength to haul carts, wagons and yes, Christmas trees!
Every year since as far back as I can remember, around the holidays Newfies and their owners will gather at select Christmas tree farms across the country and haul Christmas trees.
They do this to brighten up your holiday and to raise money for Newfies that are in need.
Over the years, this fun tradition has grown and each year more events are added.
Here’s a short list of some of the Christmas tree pull events that I’ve found going on in November and December in California, Connecticut, Georgia, Indiana, Illinois, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Washington, Wisconsin and Vermont.
This post will be updated as dates are announced so be sure to check back weekly!

These Newfies are working hard for other Newfies!
Also, every year that we post about these events we get a lot of people asking about how to get a Newfie involved in carting.
We highly recommend contacting your regional Newfoundland group which can further assist you with the training and equipment needed.
We do have a Beginner’s Guide To Carting With Your Dog that you can check out to see what’s involved.
