Bounce Releases New Pet Hair And Lint Guard Dryer Sheets And Pet Owners Are Loving Them!

I was watching T.V. the other day, which I rarely do, and a commercial by Bounce® came on.

It immediately grabbed my attention because I heard pet owners and guards against pet hair.

That’s when I saw it and my mouth dropped.

THIS IS BREAKING NEWS FOR PET OWNERS.

Bounce® now has a fabric sheet that claims to cut down on the amount of pet hair that collects on your clothes.

I know.

It sounds way too good to be true to me too.

So I took to Instagram and did a poll to see if anyone else has heard of this product.

The majority of people replied with a no which leads me to assume that this a new product launch but a couple of friends said that they have tried them.

The friends that have tried them said they have seen some success with less pet hair accumulating on their clothes.

This is pretty big news for me since legging weather is just about here and all I have is black leggings.

I actually wore them the other day and by nighttime, let’s just say, they had a lot of large and mini white dog hairs on them.

I know that dog hair is a way of life when you live with a Newfoundland and now a Corgi that seems to shed just as much, but if there’s something that might cut down on 1/2 of the dog hair that I carry around with me, I’m all about it!

About Bounce Pet Hair and Lint Guard Dryer Sheets

Here’s what the Bounce® website has to say:

• 3x more pet hair repelling power vs. regular Bounce dryer sheets so you can lint roll less*
• Reduces wrinkles and static and adds softness

comparison size of bounce regular dryer sheets and pet hair dryer sheets
• 2x the size of most dryer sheets
• Provides your clothes with the Bounce Dryer Sheets Fresh Scent you love

Bounce Pet Hair & Lint Guard dryer sheets help to prevent the hair from embedding into the fabric and they more easily fall away when brushed with your hand.

*based on Nielsen category sales data (information that I can not find)

The dryer sheets come in Fresh Scent and Unscented

And they’ve received a 4.82 out of 5-star rating with customer reviews so far.

Customer Review:

“The fresh scent leaves my laundry smelling wonderful without being overpowering.

The scent lasts for several days on clothing that hasn’t been worn which makes my closet smell fresh and clean.

It keeps my clothing soft and static-free also.

The product is made with 100% renewable wind power electricity and the box is 100% recycled paper, great steps to help keep the environment clean !”

All these reviews seem to be posted starting from mid-September so this must be a new launch and it looks like there was a casting call back in July that we all missed!

Where To Buy Bounce Pet Hair and Lint Guard Fabric Sheets

  • Target
  • Amazon
  • Lowes
  • Kroger
  • Fred Myer
  • The Home Depot
  • Meijer

Those were the places that I’ve seen them listed in stock but there could be more.

I went looking for these fabrics sheets the other day and grabbed the last box from our local Target.

I’m going to give them a try with my favorite leggings and hoodies and I’ll report back with an update after a few weeks!

A word of caution about dryer sheets:

Never rub dryer sheets on your pet to reduce static.

Dryer sheets are coated with chemicals and fragrances that may be harmful to dogs if ingested or through direct contact on their skin.

It’s best to always keep any dryer sheet out of your pet’s reach.

This post is not sponsored.

I’m genuinely just really excited about this!

Updated 9/20/20

I’ve done a few loads of laundry using the Bounce Pet Hair Fabric Sheets and they do seem to work.

I still had dog hair on my clothes but not as much as I would normally.

The dog hair didn’t seem to stick like glue.

And it would be there one minute and gone the next.

I think it worked better on polyester, at least part polyester which is what my favorite yoga pants from Aerie are made of.

Cotton clothing did seem to still attract more dog hair.

Less than normal but still above average, IMO.

(I wore black clothes all day yesterday and I was about 50% less covered in dog hair)

Now, I do think that my clothes had a little bit of a film on them.

Not a type of film that I could see but one that I could feel.

It wasn’t so much that it would deter me from using this product though, I just wanted to note it.

My husband didn’t think there was a film but I don’t know that he was really paying as close of attention as I was.

Fabric Sheets for the baseboards

My friend Jodi from Kol’s Notes was interested in how these fabric sheets worked for keeping pet hair from accumulating around baseboards.

I used these to wipe down the baseboards in my kitchen and waited a few days.

It definitely picked up the hair easily and after 3 days, there is less dog hair accumulating.

It looks like it’s taking up shop under my kitchen table now though.

I do recommend these dryer sheets and I do think they cut down on the amount of pet hair on clothes and it can help remove dog hair from removable couch cushions but it does not completely eliminate it.

Update 0323/2021: I’ve been using these dryer sheets since the writing of this post. I have 2 dogs with double coats and they are blowing their winter coat right now.

I’m always going to have dog hair around and on my clothes but I think they do help cut down on some of it. I still recommend these over regular dryer sheets!
