Small Business Saturday will fall on November 25th this year and I thought it would be a great idea to feature some small businesses within our dog community.
These small dog businesses focus on dog products we love and use, dog-related products, and/or small businesses that are owned and operated by fellow Newfie owners.
I know that Small Business Saturday was started to focus on local businesses that add to their area’s economy but I wanted to do it to focus on our small pet businesses economy.
I only know of a handful of locally owned small businesses that are dog-related so I reached out to our community on social media and asked for their favorites.
My goal was to have at least 50 small businesses on this list and made that number plus a few more!
These dog-owner-owned small businesses are either owned by Newfie owners or came recommended by fellow Newfie owners!
Before we get to the list, please keep in mind that these small businesses came recommended by fellow dog owners or Newfie owners within our online social media community and are based on their connection with these businesses. For these services or items, it is up to each individual to do their research to determine if these services or items are best for you or your dog.
If a business has a website, I link to that.
If a business doesn’t have a website, I link to Etsy or one of their social media profiles.

Ryoken makes energy bars for active dogs. They use only organic human-grade ingredients minus all the fluff.
They are based in Washington.
Little Ganshik is based in Ktown, Los Angeles.
They make single-ingredient dehydrated treats and chews for all types of lifestyle pets.
Wolf & Bear Co. is located in Massachusetts and they offer all-natural, biologically appropriate, single-ingredient canine treats.
Pawsitively Droolicious is located in Ohio and they offer delicious gourmet dog treats and dog collars. I’m a frequent buyer of their treats because Odin, Finn and Lou love them!
Biggie Bees is located in Brookesville, Florida and they are Newfie owners and also have Biggie which is their 5 year old Saint/Pyrenees rescue.
Biggie Bee’s treats and food are holistic and made with all natural ingredients that are sourced in the USA.

Piper & Gran is located in Melbourne Australia, but they ship worldwide!
They design & create quality and unique drool bibs and bandanas for dogs.
They own an adorable Landseer Newfoundland named Piper who newfervises operations.
Designs by 2 Paws is located in Michigan and is run by fellow Newfie owner, Sue.
Sue has been making embroidered dog drool bibs for many years and we have several of them!
Sue also offers drool towels and puppy bibs.
Beyond The Bark, Shop is in Idaho and is run by a husband and wife team with 2 big dogs of their own.
They offer trendy dog wear items such as bandanas, bow ties, curated birthday boxes, and much more!
Liz is owned by multiple Newfies and she makes adorable drool bibs, dog collars, and leashes. She doesn’t have a website as of yet but you can find her on TikTok under Crazy Newfie Lady.

The Newfoundland Candle Company is located in Sterling Massachusetts and prides itself on making the finest quality, 100% soy candles.

Newf’s Pressure Washing is located in Hiram, Ohio. They are Newfie owned by a pretty girl named Maddie. They also volunteer for the National Newfoundland Rescue
An adorable coffee shop located in Los Angeles. Dogs are welcomed and a percentage of proceeds of sales go to animal rescue in LA.
Shelly by the Shore is located in the Outer Banks. She makes a variety of things in her store but always makes lots of animal things like ornaments, door hangings and she also makes items on request.
Nelson’s Old West Hardware is located in Spirit Lake, Idaho.
The owners have 2 Newfies, one of which is brown, and an Old English Sheepdog.

Middleton Clay Project is owned by a gifted artist named Mike. Mike is well known for his naked raku pots. the work uses Outer Banks regional clay and Corolla Mustang hair. He also makes beautiful clay art pieces using dog hair.
7th Gear Exotics is located in Columbus, Ohio, and Tampa, FL.
They offer exotic and luxury car rentals but they’re also dog owners and transport for Life and Rescue with the Reeds and allow the rescue to borrow their trucks or cargo vans as needed.
